WooFDriver's Mushing Bars
So this is a whole new Dog Sport I’ve designed called DogMotoSports! DogMotoSports is a hybrid sport that crosses Dog Roading & Dog-Powered Sports! The metal tubing similar to on a traditional dogsled which would be a rope like gangline, is one of the most important aspects to my design! My metal designed gangline (cantilevered and supported by the bike like sled and no weight is on the dogs whatsoever) is actually what makes it possible for almost all dogs to mush! It eliminates the need for a lead dog as well as eliminating extensive training for other dogs as it keeps them in proper position while on my bike like sleds throughout the entire adventure! This also makes it possible to use my bike like sled on virtually any trail that dogs and bikes are welcomed as it keeps a narrow footprint and keeps the dogs always under my control! This avoids the possibility of us interrupting any other trail users. Therefore it opens a wide range of trails we can adventure on as we travel the East Coast of the USA weekly to give the dogs a new and exciting adventure! Additionally, the metal gangline combined with my electric propelled bike like sled means the dogs don’t have to pull, therefore almost all dogs at all life stages can get exercise like never before! It also makes it possible for almost all people even us that are aging with bad backs knees etc… as well as some people with disabilities to have high energy breed dogs because it can provide for their dog’s physical and psychological needs without us people having to be a full-time musher! And also because pulling for the dogs is optional, it means we can get the dogs some lite exercise in the warmer months when it’s not too hot to walk them, but it would be too hot to work them! This is because the design allows me to prevent them from over exerting themselves in warmer temperatures, and therefore helping to prevent heat related issues for them! At the same time this bike like sled is light enough, and the metal gangline design allows them to propel it when conditions are right! And finally the most important part of my design is dog safety and comfort! From dog attachment points being spring loaded, specialized flex in the metal gangline, foam wrapped bars, rubber coated parts that could contact the dogs etc…From my ORIGINAL MUSHING BAR DESIGN I have since pioneered different variations for different training and engagement and you can see it all below!
